Nevisport Promo Codes
Founded in 1970 by climbers Ian A Sykes MBE and Ian D Sutherland, Nevisport emerged due to dissatisfaction with the limited climbing equipment in existing UK stores. Starting in Fort William, the duo's first store thrived, prompting a move to larger premises and the opening of a second store in Glasgow. The outdoor specialty retailer expanded to Edinburgh and established the UK’s highest outdoor shop on Aonach Mor. Ian A Sykes was later awarded an MBE for his contributions to sport and mountain rescue, particularly in managing the Nevis Range Ski Centre. Retiring in 2004, Sykes and Sutherland left behind a renowned outdoor retail brand, which was later acquired by Jacobs & Turner Ltd, leading to the relocation of the company's headquarters and warehouse to Glasgow.
